Learning Rust
Learning Rust today because my brain refuses to turn the description of "Atomic" in ACID into something that I can explain in my own words.
What does this have to do with Rust? Well I've decided that the only way to really understand it is to implement a very basic Sqlite-esqe dbms in Rust.

Short Vacation
Just came back from a short vacation. I did some dev stuff but mostly research into a better cursor workflow and working on ideas for the Shipaton 2026 hackathon.
Excited to put a lot of my ideas to the test now that I'm back home!

Fun with Neopets!
My wife has been playing Neopets again since June and she has reached the point where one of the things she is interested in is customizing her lookup and pet pages.
She used to do this in highschool (a looooong time ago) but since coding is like a muscle, she has had to relearn some things. This has allowed me to teach her what I know and so far she has been picking it up fast. She is not really into my hobbies so being able to teach her the html and css tricks I've picked up over the years has been a very lovely experience.

Just make things!
I have a close friend who has been churning out apps by vibe coding. I love the fact that I have someone to build things with and this has pushed me to build and release more projects of my own. At the moment I'm just building things that people have built already like todo lists, finance trackers, project management tools, but I don't care. These are things things that I will use myself because I've found that all other solutions only "somewhat" work for me.
